2015 Challenge Series Confirmed!!
The CRSA Sprint Car Tour, thanks to our faithful sponsors, has three " mini-series" point races to go along with the season long 2015 Tour Points Championship and the Magsarus Hard Charger Award.
Returning this year for the fifth consecutive year is the "Algonkin Motel Challenge"! This mini-series consists of all the races that are held at the I-88 Speedway in Afton,NY. The Algonkin Motel, owned by Denise and Jamie Page, is located in nearby Bainbridge and is the official motel of the I-88 Speedway. Last year’s "AMC Challenge" Champion, Mike Kiser, won by a mere four points over Dustin Purdy with Scott Goodrich having to settle for third place. All three were awarded by Denise and Jamie at the yearend awards banquet.
For the third year in a row, Kennedy's Towing of Troy returns as the title sponsor of the "Northway-90 Challenge"! Kennedy's Towing owner, Cliff Craft, had brainstormed the idea to have a mini-series in the Capital District area and it has been a huge success. The Albany area tracks included in this mini-series are: Fonda Speedway, Albany-Saratoga Speedway and the Lebanon Valley Speedway. Local sprint car racer, Josh Pieniazek, took the home top honors by just two points over runner-up Scott Goodrich. Mike Kiser, Chad King and John Matrafailo made up the top five awarded positions.
E&H Services LLC, located in Great Meadows New Jersey, have returned for its second year in a row to sponsor the "Southern Tier Challenge"! CRSA racers, Ed Newhauser ( proprietor of E&H Services) and Mike Esposito, have come together to award the highest point finisher among the three race tracks along the southern border of NYS. These tracks include, the Five Mile Point Speedway, the Penn Can Speedway, and the Orange County Fair Speedway. The 2014 "STC" Champion, Jeremy Quick, confirmed he is ready to defend his title, but last years top five finishers, John Matrafailo, Scott Goodrich, Dalton Herrick and Joe Kata may have a different idea on who will be the next title holder.
The 10th Anniversary year of the CRSA Sprint Car Tour is shaping up to be an exciting one, so stay tuned as this racing season is just a few weeks away!
