Freeman Aiming to Create Winning Streak During Texas Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (March 23, 2015) – Cody Freeman has a new perspective when he heads to the race track this weekend.

Freeman is now a feature winner following his first career micro sprint main event victory on March 14.

“I think it will make it easier to get the next win,” he said. “We chased the first one all last year so to get it out of the way during the season opener gives me a lot of confidence and puts us closer to getting another one.”

Freeman is slated to compete in a pair of races this weekend, beginning on Friday at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas. He finished in the top four during all eight of his races at the track last season, which was highlighted by three runner-up finishes.

“We were really close to winning at Mountain Creek a couple of times last season,” he said. “I know we will have a great chance this weekend and that’d be great to win our first two races of the season.”

The weekend rounds out on Saturday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, where Freeman finished eighth during his lone race last season.

“I haven’t been able to race there very often so I’m looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
