One of the bright shining young stars of the Northwest Sprint Car scene is amped up to kick off his 2015 race season with the Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series at the Yakima Fairgrounds Dirt Track on April 4th. Burlington, WA’s Justin Youngquist will be making his first appearance at the big half mile in his XXX chassis powered by Shark Racing Engines at the kickoff for sprint cars in the Pacific Northwest in Yakima, WA presented by Here 2 Wire and Finishline Graphics.
“After being so close to victory lane in 2014 and still ending the season second in points at Skagit Speedway, I’m really excited to see what our team will be able to accomplish this coming year,” said Justin.
Youngquist, who will turn 20 years old on June 1st, is excited to race the Yakima Fairgrounds Dirt Track for the first time – “I’m really excited to get over to Yakima and race. It’s a track that I’ve wanted to run for a while, and I’m grateful that Funtime Promotions and Here 2 Wire, a company that’s supported my racing for a long time, were able to put something together for us. It’s also very cool that Finishline Graphics and T&C Auto Care and Tire have stepped up to make this race $3,000 to win!” said Justin.
Practice night will be Friday, April 3rd from 5-8pm where fans will be afforded an up close look at the fire breathing 700+ horsepower 360 sprint cars of the Summer Thunder Series. On Saturday night, racing will begin at 5pm and conclude by 8. The Shipwreck Bead Modifieds will be running for $1,000 to win along with the Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series presented by Here 2 Wire and Finishline Graphics.
