Belle-Clair Speedway will reopen in 2015 after reaching a multi-year agreement with Performance Open Wheel Racing, Inc. (“POWRi”). POWRi will take over the promotion of the Belleville, IL track starting in this year. POWRi will sanction the open wheel divisions while Allied will continue to sanction the stock car divisions.
The schedule has been finalized and can be found on the Belle-Clair Speedway website (www.belleclairspeedway.com). POWRi and Allied worked together to create a schedule that will excite both fans and racers. Midgets, Sprint Cars, Micros, Late Models, Modifides, B-Mods, and Pure Stocks are all scheduled to run at some point throughout the season in order to satisfy both open wheel and stock car enthusiasts.
Events will be held on days of the weekend other than Belle-Clair Speedway’s traditional Friday nights. Fans can see races on Friday nights from March 27th through May 15th, while events will be held on Sunday nights starting on June 7th. The only exceptions will be the Don Klein 100 Lapper which is scheduled for Friday, August 7th and the two-day Belleville Bash to be held on Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd.
The “Shamrock 40” will serve as Belle-Clair Speedway’s 2015 season opener on Friday, March 27th. Fans will be treated to the UMP Kettler & Son’s Late Models, Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and Micros. Spectator gates will open at 4:00pm. Hot laps will begin at 6:00pm with racing to follow. General admission is $15.00 and kids under 12 are FREE.
