Brent Marks Opens Season with Top-Five at Lincoln 'Icebreaker'

Myerstown, PA (March 16th, 2015) - After having to wait an extra day due to weather conditions, Brent Marks officially launched his 2015 racing season on Sunday, March 15th at the Lincoln Speedway near Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Marks participated in the annual ‘Icebreaker 30’ at the Pigeon Hills venue; resulting in his first top-five finish of the season. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania native finished 4th officially during the 30-lap/$4,000-to-win main event on Sunday afternoon. There were 30 ‘410’ sprint cars signed in for the Pennsylvania sprint car opener.

“Pretty good way to start the year” explained Marks, “We had a pretty good car all day...happy to bring home a top-five and keep it in one piece...I need to thank this entire Brent Marks Racing team...these guys worked hard all winter long...starting the year with a solid finish will boost our momentum...we’ll head into next week with a great attitude and work towards our first win.”

The Brent Marks Racing, BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, ‘19M’ team kicked-off ‘Icebreaker 30’ competition with a runner-up finish during heat race action. Marks would start the 30-lap main event from the outside of row number four; surviving multiple cautions and red flags to earn his top-five finish. Greg Hodnett was the ‘Icebreaker 30’ winner.

Brent Marks Racing will be back in action next Saturday night, March 21st at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Their original plan was to venture to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania for their season opener on March 21st, but it has since been postponed to March 28th.
