Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (March 15, 2015) – Tony Bruce Jr. is gearing up for a return to Devil’s Bowl Speedway next weekend.

Bruce Jr. has an outstanding track record at the half-mile oval in Mesquite, Texas, where he will compete on Friday and Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“Any time you have Devil’s Bowl on the schedule it’s something you look forward to,” he said. “There’s no key to it or a certain thing I do different at that race track than others. I do have a lot of laps around there and I think that helps, but some places fit drivers better and I’m fortunate that Devil’s Bowl fits my style. ”

Bruce Jr. registered a pair of ASCS National Tour victories at the track last season. He recorded four additional top 10s.

“(What stands out is) we were running second during the Speedweek race and had a fuel line come apart,” he said. “I really wish we could have that one back because I don’t think we would have finished outside the top five then or in any of the races.”

While last season was a standout year for Bruce Jr. at the facility, he has earned multiple top 10s during each of the past five seasons at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Bruce Jr. scored three top fives there in both 2013 and 2010, and he powered to a win and a trio of top 10s at the track in 2011.

“No matter where we start there we seem to make our way into the top 10 and often the top five,” he said. “We’ve been consistently good. I’ve had multiple different setups and it doesn’t seem to matter.”

Bruce Jr., who planned on competing in Oklahoma with the ASCS Red River Region last weekend before the races were rained out, ranks sixth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings following two top 10s in four races this season.
