Inside Line Promotions – TUCSON, Ariz. (March 10, 2015) – Shark Racing drivers Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen capped last weekend with their best result during a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series tripleheader in the desert on Saturday at USA Raceway during the NAPA Wildcat Shootout.

Schuchart, who qualified eighth quickest before placing seventh in a heat race and second in the Last Chance Showdown, recorded a 10th-place result in the main event. It was his first top 10 of the season with the World of Outlaws.

“Running with the competition we have to run with, especially right now when you have all the big names in the Midwest joining the Outlaws, to get a top 10 is definitely a plus,” he said. “The first couple of laps of the feature were real racy. I felt like I had a good car before the rubber came in. It only lasted about five laps before the track took rubber and then everybody had to move down and roll around the bottom.”

Allen qualified 14th quickest and finished fifth in a heat race to lock into the main event. He then ended with a 15th-place result on the rubber-down track.

Shark Racing also competed on Wednesday and Thursday at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas for the FVP Outlaw Showdown.

Schuchart qualified ninth and 14th, respectively, before earning a lock-in position through a heat race both nights. He pulled off the track early on Wednesday night during the feature and he finished 16th in the main event on Thursday.

“The first night the track was real rough and heavy and it was hard to race,” he said. “You had to make some aggressive moves to get around somebody. It’s not worth it with the budget we have to tear up a car so I just felt like it was a better move to pull in and have a good race car to start the day off on Thursday.

“I didn’t feel like I had a bad car or I drove it bad during the main event on Thursday. Everybody was so good. It was hard to pass cars. I just stayed where I was at. I needed to qualify better to start up front in the feature.”

Allen qualified 27th and 28th, respectively, at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas. He placed eighth in a heat race before finishing 12th in the Last Chance Showdown on Wednesday. Allen’s results improved on Thursday as he ended sixth in a heat race – only one spot out of a lock-in position to the feature – and ninth in the Last Chance Showdown.

Shark Racing resumes action with the World of Outlaws this Friday and Saturday at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.

Schuchart led the first 22 laps of the World of Outlaws feature before finishing eighth on Night 1 at the track last year and he earned a career-best second-place finish on Night 2.
