Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (March 3, 2015) – Joe Trenca is aiming to take another large step forward this season.
Trenca has put together a schedule of approximately 60 sprint car races, including eight or nine with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
“The game plan is to race as many times as we can all over,” he said. “There’s close to 60 races on the schedule this year. We’re not racing for points anywhere. We just want to run all over.”
Trenca, who will kick off his season on April 4 at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., said his schedule will include a return to the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, in July as well as a trip to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., for the Short Track Nationals in October.
The Mucci Motorsports team might also tackle the famed Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, in August.
“We want to see new tracks and push ourselves against the best competition,” he said. “Last year we got better throughout the season and I want to continue that momentum throughout this season.”
One of Trenca’s biggest goals for the year is to earn his first career sprint car feature victory.
“The only number goal is one so we get that first win out of the way,” he said. “After that we want to win as many as we can. We came a long way this past winter. We did a lot of things preparing for this season. We changed the crew around. We got a few new sponsors. I have the most confidence ever in my racing career. This is a very exciting time. I can’t wait to get on the race track and start to compete.”
