Trey Marcham will try his hand in Vegas tonight, Thursday, March 5, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway "Sin City Showdown." Driving the Josh Ford Motorsports (JFM) #73 sprint car, Marcham hopes to open up his 2015 USAC season in a jackpot-like fashion.
"I'm eager to run the sprint car for a full season and to have the opportunity to contend for the USAC points title," said Marcham. "It's exciting to be competing in the big leagues and I'm confident about the year ahead of me."
Marcham will be competing in both, the USAC West Coast Sprint Car and USAC West Coast Midget divisions this season. This will be his second full term racing with the Josh Ford Motorsports team.
"After running so well last year in the midget and winning three features, it was only natural that it was time for him to run a sprint car," said Jimmy May, JFM Crew Chief. "That's why we let him try it out last season at Tulare, and after watching him take to it so well, we knew it was time to get him in the 73 for this year. Trey is becoming a very good race car driver and will definitely make some waves this year."
The grandstands will open tonight in Vegas at 5 pm (west coast time). USAC hot laps will begin at 5:45 pm and heat races will commence at 7:15 pm. The main feature event will go green at 10 pm.
