PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting to run a few races together, thus far, to get ready for the 2015 season, Craig Dollansky is very excited to get his Destiny Motorsports team to Florida, and embark on the team’s first run at a World Of Outlaws Championship, as he makes a return to the series he called home for so many years.
“We have a strong team prepared to go to Florida next week, and I am really looking forward to getting to Volusia, and getting back to racing,” Dollansky said. “It has always been one of my favorite tracks, and getting to run there five consecutive nights will really help us.”
Making their debut together at the tail end of the 2014 season, Dollansky and company took a 10th place finish at the World Finals, and built on that weekend, as they got ready for a five-night series in Arizona this past January.
Still coming together as a team during the Winter Heat Showdown, Dollansky and his team seemed to click as the week went on, culminating with a podium finish to end their trip on a high note.
“Our team, led by Scott Benic, has been hard at it all winter getting prepared for what will be a long season ahead,” he added. “We have a great group of guys assembled in Brad Plank (Hub), Beau Bunker, and Chevy Corn, and they have all been doing a great job.”
For Dollansky, a return to the World of Outlaw series has been on his mind since last year, and for Destiny Motorsports, this has been a goal of the team’s since their inception.
“Florida is just around the corner, and my crew and I will be going there to work hard, and get off to a strong start to the season,” Dollansky said. “We will be working hard for car owners, Rick and Barb Rogers, our marketing partners, manufacturers, and certainly, our strong fan base.”
