Rain has forced the postponement of the inaugural Sprint for a Cure Summer Clash for the World of Outlaws at Deer Creek Speedway in Minnesota originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 19. The event has been rescheduled for Saturday September 19, with a rain date of Saturday, September 20. This follows a stop at Clay County Fair Speedway in Iowa on Wednesday, September 16.
Heading into this weekend’s pair of events, Donny Schatz has a 55-point lead over Jason Meyers in the series championship standings as the stretch run of the 2009 campaign gets underway, with Joey Saldana third, Steve Kinser fourth and Jason Sides fifth.
The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, August 21 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota which will now serve as the opener for the Gold Rush Tour.
