Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Nov. 9, 2014) – Trey Starks will be spending a lot of time in the race shop during the next six weeks.

Starks said his focus is to complete renovations to the race trailer and build a couple of new sprint cars prior to his departure for Australia right before Christmas.

“We have a lot of things we want to get done this offseason,” he said. “Since I’m heading to Australia to race for a month and a half it cuts down on our normal time off. So I have to make sure we get as much done as possible before I leave.”

The goal is to have the trailer and cars finished before his racing trip to Australia so when he returns to the United States in early February, the option is available to race in Florida.

“More than likely I’ll need to drive for somebody if I want to race in Florida, but you never know what will happen,” he said. “I’d love to start the American season there once I return in early February.”

Starks has traditionally kicked off his season in March with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series when it makes the first of two West Coast swings each year.

“It’s always tough to start a season against the best in the business, especially when those drivers have a few races under their belts,” he said. “Since I’m racing in Australia this offseason I think it will help me get up to speed quicker next season.”

Starks said his 2015 racing plans following the Australia events likely won’t be finalized for a few weeks.
