Inside Line Promotions – ODESSA, Texas (Nov. 4, 2014) – Josh Baughman will close out his season during the next two weekends with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
Baughman is heading to a pair of familiar tracks this weekend for the Battle at the Border doubleheader, which is slated for Friday at El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas, and Saturday at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, N.M.
“I’ve won at El Paso Speedway Park and we’ve had some good runs at Southern New Mexico Speedway, but we haven’t gotten a win there yet,” he said.
Baughman cut his teeth in sprint cars at both tracks in the 305ci ranks before advancing into 360s. However, his Jason Johnson Racing team has earned a pair of victories this season.
“We’ve got four races left this season,” he said. “I hope we can put together some good results and we can carry some momentum into the offseason and next year.”
Baughman, who has recorded six top fives and 14 top 10s this season, is searching for his first top 10 at both tracks in a 360 sprint car.
