KNOXVILLE, Iowa - Brian Stickel, general manager and promoter at the Knoxville Raceway, is pleased to announce the dates and venues for the SPEED SPORT Knoxville World Challenge qualifiers in 2015. This trio of events will be the only races at which American sprint car drivers can qualify for the 22nd Annual SPEED SPORT Knoxville World Challenge to be held on Friday, August 14, 2015, during the 55th Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals:

Saturday, December 6, 2014 - Porter Hire International Sprintcar Series Round 1; WxC Speedway; Western Springs (Auckland), New Zealand,

Monday, December 8, 2014 - Porter Hire International Sprintcar Series Round 2; Robertson Holden International Speedway; Palmerston North, New Zealand, and

Friday-Saturday-Sunday, January 23-24-25, 2015 - Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic; Premier Speedway; Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia

Said Knoxville Raceway general manager Brian Stickel this week, "We are very pleased to once again partner with Greg Mosen at Western Springs, Bruce Robertson at Palmerston North, and David Mills at Warrnambool on these qualifiers. It is my understanding that Americans like Jonathan Allard, Jac Haudenschild, Tim Kaeding, Kraig Kinser, Trey Starks, Brad Sweet and others have already made their intentions known that they will be venturing 'Down Under' in order to qualify for the SPEED SPORT Knoxville World Challenge. All American sprint car drivers are encouraged to compete in one of these three qualifiers in order to represent the USA in mid-August. I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank the good people at SPEED SPORT magazine for all of their support of this event, whose mission is uniting nations through motorsports. Just last night I saw a great repeat feature by Ralph Sheheen and Derek Pernesiglio on the Knoxville World Challenge on their SPEED SPORT Magazine television show on MAV TV. That is incredible exposure for the drivers, teams and tracks involved in this truly international event."
