Record Breaking Year for R&R Enterprises National Open Benefit

Five charities split unmatched total raised from various sources

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – October 8, 2014 – Another year. Another record-breaking performance.

Fans, drivers, teams and industry insiders came together on Saturday, October 4th at Williams Grove Speedway to raise money during the annual R&R Enterprises National Open Benefit presented by FK Rod Ends. The total raised for this years event was $34,000.

“I want to thank R&R Enterprises and FK Rod Ends for once again being huge supporters of this event,” said Kolten Gouse, operator of Kolten Gouse Promotions. “The fans, race teams and everyone that donated items were also a huge part of this success as well. I am truly blessed to have people supporting my dream of raising money for injured drivers and their families. I also want to thank All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads (Bob & Susie Williams) and Engler Machine (Steve Engler) for their support in addition to R&R Enterprises and FK Rod Ends.”

For its part, R&R Enterprises is thrilled with the result as well.

“It’s impressive to see what Kolten and his team of volunteers were able to pull off once again,” said Kyle Luetters, Marketing Director for R&R Enterprises. “We’d like to convey our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped raise money this season. Between shirt sales, a helmet raffle, the BBQ, the auction and more, this has simply been a banner year and we are very proud. We look forward to seeing this event grow as it has the past few years and hope to continue to break records.”

Lisa and Vince Magaro started the National Open Benefit in 2008 shortly after sprint car driver John Westbrook was involved in a vicious crash at
Williams Grove Speedway. The proceeds went to help Westbrook and his family with medical expenses.

The money raised from this year’s extravaganza will go to the York County Racing Club Injured Driver's Fund, the World of Outlaws Benevolent Fund, Steve King Foundation, the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Fund and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.
