After a tragic weekend of racing at the Beaver Dam Raceway this past Saturday evening, the entire racing community will be racing with heavy hearts after the passing of fellow driver, Scott Semmelmann. Scott tragically lost his life after an accident that occurred Saturday evening in a hot lap session.
The next race on the calendar is this Friday September 26th at Luxemburg Speedway for the first annual Battle by the Bay presented by Professional Plating, Inc., which is promoted by Scotty Thiel and SixFour Promotions. The staff at SixFour Promotions has determined that they will be allocating time in their race program to have a driver helmet pass to collect donations for the Semmelmann Family. This will be a great racing event as it will be the first time since 2005 that the IRA Outlaw Sprints have stormed around the 1/3 mile track at Luxemburg. Luxemburg Speedway in located in Luxemburg, WI, just a short 15 mile drive east of Green Bay. Pit gates open at 3PM, Grandstands open at 5PM with racing to start a 7PM!
