IT'S RACE DAY at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY'S DIRT TRACK!

IT'S RACE DAY at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY'S DIRT TRACK!

-First off, everything is still as scheduled for both the Friday and Saturday events.

-There has been no precip at the race track. The forecast precip never arrived.

-The forecast shows whatever precip that may/may not come is supposed to occur between 11AM-1PM. Then, both NOAA and weather.com shows that's it for the weekend. After watching the news this morning, they were predicting it to pretty much all stay north of the Metroplex - which is totally different than their forecast yesterday. So we'll just continue to monitor it. TMS has the best track drying equipment available - if need be it will be activated.

-Any further updates will be posted at the TMS Facebook page http://www.Facebook.com/TexasMotorSpeedway or at the event website: http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html

-BONUS FOR RACE TEAMS: Due to the potential precip midday today, the paved pit area at Lil' Texas Motor Speedway are open and teams wishing to park there can - at no added charge. Lil' TMS is located directly north of the Dirt Track grandstand parking area. (It's where the Legend cars race.) There are about 50 paved spaces available there.

-Race teams not yet entered can do so upon their arrival at the track today.

-TMS officials plan on racing the ASCS feature race by 11pm on each Friday and Saturday night. If the posted schedule needs to be rearranged to accommodate that time frame, it will.

-150+ race teams in the two divisions are set to race each night, making for a very full racing program.

-Remember to utilize the discount ticket coupon that is posted on the TMS Facebook page. Just show the coupon on your phone, or a printout, at the ticket window to receive your discount - EACH NIGHT. If you are a season ticket holder you must call the ticket office to receive your discount (as the coupon is twice the amount).

One thing is totally certain, it's going to be amazing racing conditions this weekend, with race time temps of around 70-75 degrees!
