Inside Line Promotions – EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 8, 2014) – Danny Lasoski guided Mark Burch Motorsports to a pair of top fives last weekend in Nebraska.
Lasoski charged from 17th to fourth place on Saturday at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction and he rallied from 11th to third on Sunday during the Nebraska Cup at Eagle Raceway.
“We aren’t close to being satisfied with top fives,” Lasoski said. “We aren’t satisfied unless we’re contending for a win.”
The weekend kicked off with the ASCS Midwest Region on Saturday at Junction Motor Speedway, where Lasoski advanced from fifth to fourth place during his heat race. That relegated him to the B Main, which he finished third in to transfer into the back of the main event.
“It laid rubber about halfway through the feature and was one lane,” Lasoski said. “I think I found the rubber before most guys. It was on the bottom in turns three and four. We worked our way up to third and then I missed the rubber one lap so I lost a spot.”
Lasoski finished fourth, which earned him the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.
The weekend concluded on Sunday at Eagle Raceway.
“In the heat race the track was nothing but grease so we finished where we started – third,” he said. “If you get no passing points and don’t get in the redraw it’s tough.”
The Mark Burch Motorsports team lined up on the inside of the sixth row for the main event.
“In the feature it was all on the top,” Lasoski said. “We just got beat.”
Lasoski rallied for the podium result, which marked his eighth top five of the season with Mark Burch Motorsports.
The team will return to action on Sept. 19-20 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the Midwest Fall Brawl.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Diamond Pistons
Diamond Pistons has been creating high-performance racing pistons since the early 1970s. For more information, visit http://www.DiamondRacing.net.
“We have been using custom pistons from Diamond for the last several years,” Burch said. “Mike Panetta and his staff have really helped us build a piston that is lighter, stronger and lasts longer. The demand of an ASCS 23 degree piston is far greater than its 15 degree 410 counterpart. That is probably opposite of what most people would think. Because of its inherent design and valve train limitations the ASCS combination has been a tricky one for all engine builders. We are trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of those engines while constantly pushing them to the limits. With our Diamond Pistons there are no more worries. Mike and the staff are constantly working to build us a better piston any time we need them. We win with Diamond pistons – shouldn’t you?”
