One more night is all that remains on the Dodge City Raceway Park slate for the 2014 season.
The state-of-the-art facility in southwest Kansas brings the curtains down on the 2014 season with the Second Annual Jerry Soderberg Memorial Championship event on Saturday night, September 27.
The URSS Sprint Cars will headline the season finale with its season championship event along with the track’s five championship chase divisions of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets.
With another pair of events on the docket for the Soderberg Memorial for the URSS Sprint Car ranks, Colorado’s Jake Bubak is closing in on a second URSS National championship with an 88-point advantage over Liberal’s Steven Richardson with Zach Blurton, Jeremy Huish and Jed Werner also among the top five.

While the Sprint Car ranks battle it out to the last lap, at least two of the track’s championship chase divisions look to come down to the final checkered flag as well.
Austin Allen is just 13 points ahead of Ryan Heger going into the headline division IMCA Modified season finale on September 27. While Wichita’s Allen tries to secure a second consecutive track championship, Hugoton’s Heger will try to win the season finale for the third year in a row and slip away with the title in the process.
