Bristol, WI – September 4, 2014. After a washout at the LaSalle Speedway two weeks ago, Bill and the B2 Motorsports hit the track again this past weekend as they headed to the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI for the annual Fair Race. Going out late, Bill would lay down the 2nd fastest lap of the twenty-eight cars on hand setting him up with a 6th place starting position in the heat race. Bill would quickly make his way into the 2nd position in the heat race and reel in leader Jeremy Schultz trying to find his way into the lead. Caution would fly on lap seven giving the “Northpole Nightmare” a shot from Schultz’s back bumper. On the restart Bill would try to make his way under the #5J sprinter, but Schultz’s momentum was too great on the high side and pulled away. Bill would close back up on Schultz, but would settle for a 2nd place finish transferring into the feature. The #2 pill was pulled for the invert setting Bill up with a 3rd place starting position in the thirty lap feature. At the drop of the green Bill would hold his position as the top-four cars ran in a tight bunch. On lap eight the leaders caught the back marker and the bunch tightened up. On lap ten Bill would make his way past Ben Schmidt into the 2nd position and trail leader Scotty Thiel. On lap twelve, Thiel got over the cushion allowing Bill to drop to the bottom of the track and make his way into the lead dissecting the traffic perfectly to keep the #64 sprinter at bay. Caution would fly on lap eighteen giving a clear track for the restart. Bill was back into lap traffic within a few laps allowing Thiel to close on the back of the #17B machine, but Bill would split a pair of lappers giving himself a cushion and cruised to the checkers as he picked up his 10th victory of the 2014 season ahead of Thiel and Mike Reinke.
After a night off, Bill and the B2 Motorsports team headed to the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, WI. Bill would lay down the 2nd fastest lap of the thirty-four cars on hand setting him up with a 6th place starting position in his heat race. At the drop of the green, Bill methodically made his way forward taking the lead on lap eight picking up the heat race win transferring him into the feature. The #3 pill was draw for the feature setting Bill up with a 5th place starting position in the feature. With the pole car having issues before taking the green flag, Bill would move up to the 3rd starting position. At the drop of the green, Bill would make his way into the 2nd position behind leader Bill Rose. On lap two, Bill made his way under the #6R machine and into the lead where he would pull away from the field until a lap seven caution. When the green flew again, Bill once again pulled away and hid from the field as he masterfully maneuvered through the lap cars until the red would fly on lap eighteen. When the green returned Bill continued to dominate the field until lap twenty-three when he would clip the wall hard coming out of turn four. The race would continue with Bill changing his line trying to assess the damage allowing Mike Reinke to close in, but the caution would fly slowing the event once again. On the restart Bill would keep the #02 sprinter at bay the final five laps and pick up his 2nd win of the weekend and 11th of the 2014 season over Reinke and Jeremy Schultz.
This weekend, Bill and the B2 Motorsports team will head north to the Amsoil Speedway in Superior, WI for the 26th Annual Northern Nationals on Friday night.
