Inside Line Promotions – MOBERLY, Mo. (Sept. 2, 2014) – Mark Burch Motorsports captured its second feature victory of the season last Saturday.
Danny Lasoski powered the entry to the ASCS Warrior Region triumph at Randolph County Raceway to garner a clean sweep after the team also won a heat race.
“That race track is so wide and fast,” he said. “It has multiple grooves. When they dropped the green flag we went wherever they weren’t.”
Lasoski maneuvered from sixth to win the heat race, which earned him a spot in the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. 6 in the random draw to line up on the outside of the third row for the 25-lap main event.
“We made some good momentum,” he said. “Wayne Johnson put on a pretty good pace. When we got to second we had to work with him. I found a groove up in the cushion and got by.”
Lasoski took the lead on Lap 14 en route to the victory, which provided extra momentum heading into a pair of ASCS Midwest Region events this weekend near Burch’s shop.
The team will tackle Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., on Saturday and Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., on Sunday for the Nebraska Cup. Lasoski and Mark Burch Motorsports claimed the prestigious event last season.
“Both races are near Mark’s house and it’s cool to race around the Durst family,” Lasoski said. “Hopefully we can come away with a couple of victories.”
