Jackson, MN-The Labor Day Weekend Classic returns this Friday and Saturday to the Jackson Speedway as the Lucas Oil ASCS sanction the 36th Jackson Nat

Located just 19 miles north of Spirit Lake/Okoboji, the Jackson Nationals is the place to be to close out summer. Defending champion Brian Brown will attempt to continue his run at dominance which has seen him win the past 3 big shows at the Jackson Speedway as he attempts to defend his crown from last year. Joining him will be all of the stars of the Lucas Oil ASCS as well as the best racers in the Midwest all vying for the $5,000 first place prize.

Friday night will see a full night of action with the top 4 finishers in the 25 lap A-Main event transferring into the Saturday night A redraw. The Friday night card will also see the A Modifieds competing at the Jackson Speedway for a rich $600 first prize. They will be supported by hobby stocks and the sport compact division. The will call and advance ticket gate open at 4:30 p.m. with the main ticket window opening at 5:15 p.m. Hot laps will commence at 6:45 with racing at 7:30.

Saturday will set the remainder of the State Bank of Fairmont A-Main field for the 30 lap championship of the Jackson Nationals as well as the return of the Dick Valentine Memorial race for the top non-qualifiers. The sport modifieds, street stocks and Miniakota Micro Sprints. The will call and advance ticket gate open at 4:30 p.m. with the main ticket window opening at 5:15 p.m. Hot laps will commence at 6:45 with racing at 7:30.

Everything kicks off Thursday night as fans and drivers will gather for the Jackson Nationals driver meet and greet. Additional details will be available at www.jacksonspeedway.com and on the Jackson Speedway Facebook page.
Friday night after the races will see the return of the popular Jackson County Pork Producers Pork Feed. Fans will have the opportunity to try some of the fantastic pork raised in Jackson County and listen to tunes from the popular band The Nectarines.

Saturday will be a day full of action. The Jackson Kart Club will swing into action that afternoon behind the main building with a full show. Also taking place at the fairgrounds will be the first annual Minnesota Mafia Truck Show, where companies and truckers from all over the upper Midwest are sprucing up their trucks for the chance to win a $1,500 certificate from Finish Line truck parts. Along with that, the Mafia will set up a dunk tank to raise proceeds. A number of drivers, promoters and more will be available to be dunked.

Friday tickets: Adult $25 Child 6-16 $10 5&under free.

Saturday tickets: Adults $28 Child 6-16 $10 5&uncer free.
