[i Lonnie Wheatley, LAWTON, Okla. (July 18, 2009)] – Brady Bacon bagged his first career American Sprint Car Series feature win by topping Saturday night's 25-lap American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region main event at Lawton Speedway.
The 19-year-old Broken Arrow, OK, shoe overtook early leader Kolt Walker en route to victory lane aboard Mike and Megan Eubanks' Wesmar-powered Tel-Star Communications No. 99 Triple-X.
Bacon took the checkered flag in front of Andy Shouse, while Joe Wood, Jr., reclaimed sole possession of the series points lead by claiming the show position. Arizona's Ben Gregg was fourth, while Donnie Ray Crawford rebounded from a lap nine spin to round out the top five.
Michelle Decker was sixth, with Bud Johnson, Joshua Hodges, Chris Lloyd and Forrest Sutherland completing the top ten.
Matt Covington, Gregg and Kolt Walker topped heat race action.
