[b World of Outlaws Fast Talkers: Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30’s]
[i Sarver, PA—July 17, 2009] —The “Month of Money” continues for the World of Outlaws on Tuesday, July 21 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania with the annual Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup, which will be a special Twin-30 lap event this season, with the victor of each segment taking home $15,000. Following the first 30-lap event, the lead lap finishers will be inverted for the second 30 lapper after a short break for the drivers and crews to work on their cars. The driver with the best average finish from both segments will be crowned the 2009 Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup overall winner. Recently all 12 of the full-time World of Outlaws competitors shared their thoughts on the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin-30 lap events.

“It sounds like that will be pretty unique and something different. It’s pretty cool that they are doing that. That’s another track that we always look forward to going to on the tour and haven’t been there yet this year. Going back will be good for the Silver Cup and it’s a good paying show as well. I’m looking forward to it.”

“Lernerville is a track that I know well and am really looking forward to racing there. There is nothing wrong with getting to race two 30-lap features at a track I know. I have never run that kind of format before, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Anytime you get a couple of features at a track like Lernerville is great.”

“It’s a little different format than what we are used to and it should be good for the fans. Lernerville is always a good track for us. We plan on having a good showing in the Twin 30’s and we’ll see how we fare.”

“Lernerville is a good track and there is always a lot of good cars there. They always have the track in good shape. We have never won at Lernerville, so it would be nice to win that one. We have run in the Top-Five a number of times there so it would be a good one to win.”

“It’s definitely unique. I’ve never personally been involved in a race like that, so I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. They used to do the Twin 20’s at Knoxville and as a fan those were always fun to watch. They are using a similar format as those used to use, so it should be a good night of racing for the fans.”

“I have gotten to race a number of unique events over the years and have enjoyed them. As long as the track is good and you can pass in the corners and it’s not too heavy, it should be good. Being able to race on the track and having a good track is what makes events like that fun. You just have to do what you can do to win. You’re going to be right back there in the second one with the guys who were up front in the first one. You just go out and do the best you can every time you hit the race track.”

“I’m really looking forward to it. Gary Risch does a great job out there with the track and it’s a different concept and anything we can do for the fans, I’m all for it. It should be a really good event. I’m, ready to head out there and so is this Parsons Motorsports team. We feel real good right now about how things are going.”

“We’ll just have to see how it plays out with the twin features and different format. Hopefully we can get one of the big races this year. That is one of the things we have lacked last season and that was winning the big money races. We are really concentrating on it this year.”

“I think it’s a great idea. To do something different for the fans is great. It’s nice that the Outlaws are throwing a mix into what’s going on with our racing to get the fans involved and know that we are trying to put on a good event and make it better for them. A lot of our races have been really good this year and throwing something different into it will hopefully make it that much better.”

“We always look forward to going to Lernerville. We haven’t been there yet and normally we go there in the spring so we’ll see if that plays out. We normally run pretty decent there and have won the Silver Cup two of the last three years and finished second last year. It’s been a good track for me and I’m looking forward to that as well. We’ll see how the event goes with the twin features.”

“It will be something that is great for the fans and something interesting for us as well. It will be something that different than what we are normally used to. We’ll get to stop and redo a few things and then they’ll flip the field and start over again. I think it’s going to be really fun. I am looking forward to it.”
