Last weekend PNR made the Indiana swing with the MOWA series in Bloomington on Friday, and Haubstadt on Saturday. The team looked to be back on track after a rocky weekend at Knoxville.
Friday night started off by having a semi tire blow out heading down the interstate. After waiting almost 2 hours, the team was back on track to go to Bloomington. They arrived late, as practice was starting. With a little help from others, the car was out of the trailer in no time, and Paul made it out for practice. Paul started 6th in his heat race, and quickly settled in to finish 3rd. That started him 4th in the dash. Again, he made a quick couple of passes, and finished 2nd, earning him a spot on the front row of the feature.
At the drop of the green flag, Paul put a big slide job on pole sitter A.J. Bruns. Bruns slipped back by however, and the two ran almost nose to tail through traffic. With 4 laps to go, Paul found himself in position to take the lead back, but pushed the issue a little too hard and got over the cushion, falling to a 7th place finish.
Saturday night at Haubstadt, Paul started his heat in 8th place, and after going to the tail after another car made contact with him (11th) he worked back up to 5th. That started him 8th for the feature. On the opening lap, Paul began making moves, but one of the leaders spun in front of him, having no where to go he got a flat tire ending the night for the team.
This Friday PNR returns to one of their strongest tracks, 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa for another World of Outlaws event!
