Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma, hosted the second night of a double-header sprint car trip through the states of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The race took place on June 14 (Flag Day) and Michael was one of four OCRS drivers selected with the honor of displaying our nation's colors during parade laps around the track as the Star Spangled Banner played.
A challenge awaited Michael as he had to start towards the rear of the 20 car "A" Feature field. By the end of the race, he had raced to a 12th place finish. It was his second best "A" Feature finish of the season.
On the strength of the weekend's results, Michael moved from 29th place in the point standings to 18th. The BiGFooT team has competed in just over 50% of the scheduled events thus far, but anticipates running in the majority of the remaining OCRS races. Non-winged action awaits the team as the next event is in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.
