Inside Line Promotions – PARK CITY, Kan. (June 17, 2014) – Jordan Weaver is ready for a busy weekend as she tackles the remaining four races of the Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Speedweek.
The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event will showcase four consecutive events at different tracks starting Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla. Speedweek action also includes Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; Friday at Outlaw Motorsports Park in Wainwright, Okla.; and Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
“I’m really looking to make some shows,” she said. “If I can make all four of them I’d be really happy.”
Weaver has competed at the three tracks in Oklahoma, but will make her debut at Lucas Oil Speedway.
She is coming off a frustrating finish at 81 Speedway on Sunday.
“The car was working good,” she said. “I just didn’t get the results I needed.”
After placing sixth in her heat race, Weaver started the main event on the outside of the ninth row.
“The track was way slicker than I thought,” she said. “I was way too loose. I was up to ninth before I jumped the cushion the first time. I fell back to 15th. I got myself back into 12th and I jumped it again.”
Following the pair of miscues, Weaver was credited with a 17th-place finish.
“I didn’t get in the corner like I needed to and it just messed me up,” she said. “It was my fault.”
Weaver, who only has a dozen races under her belt during this inaugural season in a 360 sprint car, now shifts her focus to the grueling Speedweek.
