Inside Line Promotions – COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (June 12, 2014) – Patrick Dills is getting more and more comfortable each week during his inaugural season in a sprint car.

Dills added another top 10 last Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway, where he has earned five top 10s in seven races this season.

“I’m feeling more confident going into the next race,” he said. “I’m more comfortable running the cushion and pushing the car to limit.”

Dills qualified second quickest – his best result of the season – last Saturday at the quarter-mile track.

“I seem to do better so far on a heavy track,” he said. “It’s what I’m more comfortable with. Throttle control when the track is dry is something I still have to work on.”

Dills finished fourth in the dash and in his heat race before starting the main event on the outside of the fourth row.

“Everybody was real even,” he said. “They finished where they started. Nobody really got away from me. I was able to keep with them. I just couldn’t make any passes. It was pretty uneventful.”

Dills ended the night with an eighth-place result.

He is taking this weekend off before returning to action on June 21 at Cottage Grove Speedway.
