Rain Delays World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway to Tuesday, Sept. 16

Series next rolls Friday to I-80 Speedway, Saturday to Lakeside Speedway
KOKOMO, Ind. - June 4, 2014 - Heavy rain has forced World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and Kokomo Speedway officials to postpone Wednesday night's action to Tuesday, Sept. 16. The series will be back on track Friday night in the NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and Saturday in the FVP Outlaws at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

The postponement sets up a Hoosier State doubleheader, with Kokomo on Tuesday, Sept. 16, and Terre Haute on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Fans can still watch the Outlaws at 7 p.m. tonight in their 2014 two-hour television debut on CBS Sports Network, which will feature coverage the opening round of the Texas Outlaw Nationals presented by American Racing Custom Wheels.

The Kokomo rainout is only the second of the season against 33 completed events. There have been 15 different winners this season, with Donny Schatz the most recent winner last Saturday night at I-96 Speedway.
