Inside Line Promotions – KUTZTOWN, Pa. (June 1, 2014) – In preparation for one of the busiest weeks of the season, Alex Bright had a light schedule last week.
His lone race was last Wednesday at Action Track USA during micro sprint competition. After hopping in Josh Sell’s race car for the competition, Bright finished where he started – second – in his heat race.
He then lined up on the inside of the third row for the 25-lap feature and he battled for a top five throughout the main event.
“In the early stage of the race I got up to third and then I fell back to sixth as the race went on,” he said. “It was an average night.”
Bright ended with a sixth-place finish, which marked his 20th top 10 of the season.
The hard work began immediately for a hectic week of nearly a half-dozen races.
Bright will start racing this Tuesday at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa., with the ARDC Midgets. Following a micro sprint race on Wednesday at Action Track USA, Bright and the ARDC Midgets will race on Thursday at New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, N.J., on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., and on Sunday at Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, Pa.
“We’re starting at Grandview and we know we run well there since the run we just had was phenomenal,” he said. “Let’s start off with a win and see where we can go from there.”
Bright charged from 20th to capture his fourth win of the season and first with the ARDC at Grandview Speedway on May 25.
