The USAC HPD Washington, Midwest and Eastern series all see action this week, with Saturday races at Elma, Wash., Kalamazoo, Mich. and Sophia, N.C.
Chase Goetz leads the Washington series back to Grays Harbor Raceway, while Austin Nemire leads the Midwest Pavement series to Kalamazoo Speedway and Scott Hunter leads the Eastern contingent to Caraway Speedway.
Chase Goetz of Snohomish, Wash. won Saturday night’s 25-lap USAC Washington HPD Midget race at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma. The series point leader passed Chance Crum on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Crum, Dougie James, Tristin Thomas and Ariel Biggs.
Washington race awards were distributed to Crum (Elma Lanes Pill Pick), Johanson (Elma Auto Racing Hall of Fame Fast Time), Goetz (SpeedMart Hard Charger), Tristin Thomas (HJOES Racing Move of the Night), Hartman (Highline Performance Random Pick) and James (K & N Sportsman).
Scott Hunter of Milford, Mich. won Friday night’s 50-lap USAC HPD Midget feature at the Indianapolis Speedrome. He led all 50 laps in his Brown & Miller Racing Beast/Focus. Blaine Leydig finished second ahead of Midwest Pavement HPD leader Austin Nemire, Tyler Corriher and Jessica Bean.
