Inside Line Promotions – LAWTON, Okla. (May 6, 2014) – There’s bad luck and then there’s extremely bad luck.

Jordan Weaver experienced the latter last weekend during a pair of races in Oklahoma. Weaver was crashed into during a B Main both nights, which resulted in a damaged race car each night and a couple of DNFs.

“It’s definitely very frustrating, but I also have to learn from that and try not to put myself in the position to not get tore up in a B Feature,” she said.

On a bright note, Weaver added that she has seen noticeable improvement since the season opener.

“It’s been a night and day difference for when we first brought the car out to now,” she said. “I can go out there and run consistent laps and be close to those guys. I’m just not aggressive enough, especially in heat races.”

Weaver opened last weekend by finishing where she started – fifth – in a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour heat race at Outlaw Motorsports Park in Wainwright, Okla.

“That track was fast,” she said. “I could have had fourth if I would have settled down a little sooner than I did. It just takes me so long to get going that I lose so much ground.”

Weaver’s heat race results relegated her to the B Main, which she started on the inside of the second row before the crash ended her night early with damage to the front end.

On Saturday, the team tackled Lawton Speedway with the ASCS Sooner Region. The night started with Weaver dropping from the pole position to a fifth-place result in her heat race.

“The track slicked off so quickly we didn’t have the time to make the changes to get the car where I needed in the slick,” she said. “There was no forward bite.”

That sent Weaver to a B Main, which ended on the opening turn of the first lap when another driver collided with her. The team worked on repairing the damage, but the race resumed with Weaver still in the work area.

Looking for a clean slate, Weaver will return to action with the ASCS Sooner Region this Friday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.
