The opening event for 2014 saw a bit of a rough start for PNR. The team made the trip to Burlington, Iowa for the Frostbuster event with the Sprint Invaders. Going into the night, Paul was the defending race winner. The 2013 event saw him lead the feature start to finish.
The 2014 Frostbuster wasn't quite as sweet. Paul would finish his heat in 3rd, missing the dash by 1 position. After some major adjustments on the car, he went out for the feature starting from 7th on the grid. It took two tries to take the green, a car coming to rest in turns 1 and 2 on the opening lap after the first. On the second try, Paul managed to advance a couple of positions in turns 1 and 2, but entering turn 3 the shifter linkage cable broke. This caused the car to come out of gear, and ultimately ending the team's chances at a repeat of 2013.
PNR would like to thank the following partners for their continued support: Cam2 Racing Oil, Mason Sound, Wessler Bros. Agency, Fierce Herbicide, Bradshaw Custom Pumping, Arends-Awe John Deere, Kaeding Performance, Maxim Chassis, Steve Thomas Racing, Bob Hawks Autobody, Simpson Indy, and Butlebuilt Seats.
Also, this weekend's event at Jackson County Speedway has been postponed later in the year, and you can find PNR at the Lee County Speedway in Donnelson, Iowa on Saturday instead. The team will still enter in the MOWA season opener at Lincoln Speedway Friday!
