March 14, 2014 - Charlotte, N.C. - As the ASCS Carolina Sprint Series opener at Georgia's Oglethorpe Speedway Park on April 25th draws near, the series has announced three more additions to their racing calendar for the 2014 season.
Harris Motor Speedway in Rutherfordton, N.C. will host the affordable and exciting regional 305 series twice this season. The first show is Saturday, July 19th. The second show will be a two-day show (qualifying Friday and racing Saturday) on October 17th and 18th as part of their huge "Monster Mash" weekend. The October show pays $1000 to win.
County Line Raceway in Elm City, N.C. has also announced the addition of the series to their season-ending "Race for the Kids Benefiting Victory Junction Gang Camp" extravaganza on Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th.
This show will also be a two-day show for the ASCS 305 Sprints, paying $1500 to win and $200 to start and should attract 305 racers from outside the region for one last Southern Style "throwdown" to end their racing season.
Series Owner/Director Tom Baker says the surge of momentum around the series over the past few weeks is energizing. "It's really exciting for our staff and our racers to see that all the work we put in over the fall and winter is now starting to pay off. I cannot thank the staffs at Harris and County Line enough for stepping up in such a big way for us, and of course the folks at Oglethorpe, Sumter and Antioch as well. We're still finalizing some of our desired dates and details. We'll have more announcements in the next week as we start preparing for a huge opening weekend in Georgia in late April!"
