Sprint car racing strengths and international influence can be seen worldwide with the great connection between Knoxville Raceway and the racing scene in Australia. Knoxville Raceway's General Manager, Brian Stickel says the racing in Australia shows the economic impact the worldwide sport brings to Knoxville.

"The SPEED SPORT Knoxville World Challenge is truly an international event with its theme 'Uniting Nations through Motorsports'," Stickel said. "Each year, drivers from Australia come to race in Knoxville and Americans head Down Under to race creating the true world flavor of the sport. That's in addition to all of the dedicated owners and fans who show up to the Nationals every year from Down Under. It has made the sport bigger than ever on an international level and we will look to continue this growth with all of our great partners both here and in the States."
