RacinBoys Pay-Per-View Showcases Another Exciting Chili Bowl Qualifying Night

Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 16, 2014) – The 28th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Presented by General Tire is 2-for-2 after another action-packed night at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

Despite a few hiccups during its live Pay-Per-View broadcast – which has been addressed – RacinBoys and partners Lucas Oil and MAVTV captured the excitement on Wednesday as Caleb Armstrong held off a charging Sammy Swindell in a wild finish of the premier midget event’s second qualifying night.

“If anybody knows anything about RacinBoys, we are going to work until we get it right,” RacinBoys Co-Founder Scott Traylor said. “And this time is no different.”

RacinBoys will continue to provide live Pay-Per-View of the entire event, which is only $25 per day. For more information, visit http://www.RacinBoys.com. Thursday’s preliminary event is scheduled to begin at approximately 6 p.m. (CST).

On Wednesday, Armstrong powered to the top spot near the midpoint of the 25-lap feature. He then distanced himself from the field until a caution with five laps remaining set up a thrilling ending.

“I was counting down the laps and the caution came out,” Armstrong said. “I really didn’t want to leave the top.”

After the bottom of the track was tilled in turns one and two because of a large oil spill from a crashed car that initially prompted the caution, the race resumed with side-by-side action and Swindell chased down Armstrong for the top spot.

Swindell, who started the main event 13th and restarted fifth with five laps remaining, powered to the runner-up position and then to the inside of Armstrong for the final two laps. Armstrong’s momentum allowed him to narrowly edge Swindell at the finish line.

“He ran a good race so I wasn’t going to mess that up,” Swindell said of Armstrong. “I made a lot of adjustments on the car and we generally get better as the race goes on.”

Chris Windom survived the exciting ending to earn a third-place finish, joining Armstrong and Swindell as drivers locked into Saturday’s main event.

“The last two laps were pretty crazy with everyone sliding each other back and forth,” Windom said.

While Swindell, who owns an event-best five wins, is in familiar territory, Wednesday marked the second time Armstrong has locked into the Saturday feature through his qualifying night and the first time Windom has locked in.

RacinBoys will provide live Pay-Per-View from all of the qualifying night action Tuesday through Friday as well as Saturday’s features until MAVTV begins its broadcast, which is scheduled for approximately 7:30 p.m. (CST). At that point, fans who have purchased the RacinBoys Pay-Per-View will have audio for the remainder of the Chili Bowl.
