Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Dec. 30, 2013) – Vaportrail Clothing is excited to partner with Washington native J.J. Hickle during his inaugural race at the famed Chili Bowl.
Hickle will be driving for Cliff Blackwell out of California during the 29th edition of the premier midget event at the Tulsa Raceway Expo Jan. 14-18.
“I’ve actually never met Cliff,” Hickle said. “He really liked how me and my dad have done stuff on our own and he’s been around racing for about 55 years. I’m really fortunate.”
Although Hickle has been to the Chili Bowl twice to watch, this marks his first time as a competitor at the event.
“Pretty much you have to be ultra-aggressive and on the move; go where the guys aren’t,” he said. “It’s so hectic with so many fast cars. Any time there is an opening you have to take it.”
