Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (Aug. 19, 2013) - John Binz diagnosed the mechanical issue that had plagued his mini sprint the past couple of weeks.
"I just took the fuel filter out of it and it ran better," he said. "So we put a brand new one on.
"It wouldn't allow the maximum amount of fuel and two slides on the carburetor weren't opening. It was all fuel problems, which would make the car stumble and not run right."
Binz, who originally planned to take last weekend off, decided to compete last Friday at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, before Mother Nature intervened.
"I was loaded up and ready to race Friday at Kennedale, but it rained out," he said. "I had a relaxing weekend. I just hung out."
Binz is slated to return to action this Friday at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas. He finished fourth in his last appearance at the track.
