Bristol, WI – August 3, 2013. Bill and the B2 Motorsports headed north this past weekend to a facility that the Interstate Racing Association hasn’t visited since the 2007 season. The teamed headed up Highway 45 to Antigo, WI to the Langlade County Fairgrounds for the town’s county fair race. Spotty rain showers most of the afternoon put the event in jeopardy, but the track prep crew busted their tails to get the half-mile into shape and the races went on. Due to the late start, qualifying was scrapped and it was now a passing points event. Bill would line the 17B sprinter up in the 4th starting position in the 2nd heat and at the drop of the green move into the 3rd position. Caution would fly around halfway bunching the field back up giving Bill a shot to make up some ground on the very fast, narrow racing surface. On the restart, Bill would try to make his way around the #85M of Steve Meyer, but Meyer had a better line and pulled back away from Bill. Bill would end up finishing where he was at and set himself up with a 10th place starting position in the feature. At the drop of the green in the feature Bill made it known that his car was fast as he quickly began picking cars off as he made his way to the front. By lap fourteen Bill made his way into the 2nd position and on the back bumper of the #85M sprinter again as the caution would fly on lap fifteen. On the restart, Meyer got a good jump, but Bill gained ground through turns one and two. The pair came out of turn two side by side as the Northpole Nightmare would gain some position coming into turn three and taking the lead from Meyer. Bill would pull away from the pack and accept the checkered flag on lap twenty picking up his 10th victory of the 2013 season.
The team headed deeper into the northwoods on Saturday to the ABC Raceway in Ashland, WI. The group was once again fighting the weather and at about 5:30 Mother Nature took the victory as rain began to fall at the racetrack raining the event out.
Tonight, Saturday, August 3rd, the team will head to the third-mile facility of the Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, WI. Bill and the B2 Motorsports team have picked up two victories at the track in 2013 this far.
