Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 30th, 2013) – Three rounds of the “Race for the Championship” have been completed. This Saturday night Round #4 of the “Race” will take to the quick quarter of the Creek County Speedway.
The Champ Sprint division continues to be led by Brent Bates with a 343 point lead over second place Jackie York. Ricky York has fell to the bottom of the podium. Christian York, and Robby Sherrell rounds out the top 5 in “The Race” for the Champ Sprint Points Championship.
The “Mighty” Modified division points battle is heating up, as Brett “The Jet” Wilson has taken the lead back away from Ho Dean by 8 points coming into this Saturday nights affair. Sitting third in the 2013 “Race for the Championship” is Dena Wilson just 40 markers behind Dean. Shaun Rowell, and Anthony Neel rounds out the top 5.
Jeff Record holds an 87 point lead over second place Kevin Brewer in the “Down and Dirty” Dwarf Car division. Last week’s winner Larry Pense sits in the third spot 140 points behind Brewer. David Cummins, and Kent Kantor round out the top 5.
In the “Fast and Furious” Factory Stock division Josh Jeffries hold a 183 point lead over second place Jimmy Owen. Rounding out the podium is Bobby Wolfe 212 points behind Owen. Toby Cooper, and Dann Gray round out the top 5 in “The Race” for the Factory Stock title.
The Denton boys continue to be on top of the charts in the “Survival of the Fittest” Mini Stock division. After capturing the last three “Race for the Championship” features, Daniel Ray Denton has extended his points lead over his cousin Dee Denton. Michael Rodman currently sits in the third spot. Jimmy Masterson, and Dearl Harrison rounds out the top 5.
Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Saturday night for the fastest fun around!
Gates open at 4:30; Hotlaps at 7:00; and the green flag flies at 7:30!
