Bristol, WI – July 25, 2013. Bill and the B2 Motorsports team returned to the Wilmot Raceway this past weekend for the All Star Shootout with the All Stars Circuit of Champions ringers taking on the locals of the Interstate Racing Association. Forty-one cars were in attendance at the third mile clay oval. Bill would take the track for one lap of qualifying and had a good lap going until a bobble in turns three and four slowed his momentum, but was still able to lay down the 12th fastest lap. Lining up 4th in the heat race Bill would make his way forward into a two-way battle with All Star regular Cap Henry with Bill snagging the lead as the pair exited turn four coming to the checkered flag picking up his 8th heat race victory of the 2013 season. Lining up in the 10th starting position of the feature, Bill would methodically make his way forward through the pack towards the front. With 9 laps to go, Caleb Helms shifted to the high side of the track right in front of Bill causing damage to the nose wing of the 17B sprinter. Bill would have his hands full the final nine circuits, but was still able to bring home a 4th place finish at nights end.
Tomorrow night, Friday, July 26th, the hauler will head three hours north up Highway 45 to Antigo, WI to the “Daytona of the Northwoods” as in the Langlade County Fairgrounds for the Langlade County Fair. This will be the Interstate Racing Association’s first visit back to the half-mile facility since 2007. The team will then head another three hours north to the ABC Raceway in Ashland, WI. Bill has won at both appearances at the red clay facility and also broke Mike Reinke’s single lap record last July.
