Night #2 of the ASCS National race at Cottage Grove Speedway had 30 cars. Brent drew a disappointing 48 pill. That put him in the 2nd Heat, 3rd row outside. The track was already black all the way up. Had a little stick on the bottom which is where Brent tried to run. Finishing 8th in his heat sent him to work his way thru the B Main again tonight. Ray set the car up to where Brent wanted to run, which was the bottom. Brent said that looked like the fast way around watching the other heats. Starting in 10th place in the B main, Brent gained a couple positions finishing 8th when the checkered flag dropped. Again, we all say Brent had a good run, nothing wrong with the car, Brent drove his butt off. But racing against National guys who have a lot more horse power than you, can keep you out of the A Main sometimes. We sure have fun racing with the ASCS National drivers, and look forward to this weekend at the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon.
