Jody Rosenboom Racing and Jimco Motorsports were once again in the traveling mood this past weekend. Friday night started with the World of Outlaws in Grand Forks, ND where Jody started off with changing engines after qualifying and after advancing to the A main through the LCS got caught up in a wreck ending their night. Night #2 took them to Fergus Falls, MN to once again compete with the WoO. After a nice qualifying effort Jody advanced to the A through the heat. In the A main an ignition issue arose while running mid-pack and Jody was forced to pull in and call it a night. Orginal plans had Jody racing in Watertown, SD on Sunday night, but a last minute change in plans Jody found himself doing double duty at Husets Speedway in Brandon, SD. In the 410 class Jody timed in 2nd quick for the night and made his way into the A feature through the heat race. After making contact with a crashing car infront of him and some damage done to the car, Jody had to go to the tail of the field, but still managed to bring the 97G home to a top 10 finish. Piloting the Wasmund 5W once again in the 360 class Jody was able to take advantage of a front row starting spot and pick up his first win of the season. This coming week find Jody in Jackson, MN on Wednesday night for the Sprint Car Nationals before the weekend swing.
