MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (December 11, 2024) - For the first time in the team’s history, TKS Motorsports, joined by newly appointed wheelman Cory Eliason, are ready to hit the road, set to embark on a “True Outlaw” campaign that will see the Mitchellville, Iowa-based operation hit and miss many of the nation’s major programs. Tentatively, the team will activate their new plans in March, most likely joining the World of Outlaws for events in the Deep South.
TKS Motorsports will roll into the new year on the tailcoats of a four-win season in 2024, the most recent of which a victory at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Friday, July 26, leading all 25 laps for a $7,000 payday.
“This is an exciting time for TKS Motorsports. We weren’t sure of a plan of attack at first, but a ‘True Outlaw’ schedule will give us the freedom and luxury to pick and choose where we want to go. We’re going to follow a schedule that makes the most sense,” Troy Renfro, owner of TKS Motorsports, expressed. “We’re also excited to have Cory Eliason join us for the full season. His accomplishments speak for themselves and I’m ready to see what we can do together out on the road.”
TKS Motorsports and Cory Eliason made their official debut in the season-ending World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in early November. Battling some of the best sprint car aces in the country, including the Greatest Show On Dirt, Eliason and TKS Motorsports highlighted their trip to the Tar Heel State with a 12th-place result in the weekend finale on Saturday, November 9, climbing four positions from 16th on the starting grid.
“Very grateful for the opportunity that Troy and Tammy Renfro have presented me. It’s going to be an exciting season,” Eliason added. “We clicked pretty well in Charlotte, and quickly, too, so I’m confident that will translate into the new year. We have a lot of work to do, but we’ll be ready. They are great people with a lot of passion and I’m excited to surround myself with people like that.”
A full schedule of events will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Fans should keep alert online at www.tksmotorsports2ks.com, or right here at www.fullyinjected.com.
