Inside Line Promotions - BIGLERVILLE, Pa. (June 13, 2013) - Wings Unlimited is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Jason Leffler, who was a tremendous client and race car driver.
In his first season racing a winged sprint car, Leffler had a variety of ideas on how to gain an advantage in the quest for victories.
"He always threw some ideas out there to try to get away with stuff, to push the edge on everything," Wings Unlimited Owner Bryan Baumgardner said. "Jason was a character and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed on and off the track."
Leffler claimed four USAC championships before racing in the Indianapolis 500 and Daytona 500 among other prestigious events. He won two NASCAR Nationwide Series races and most recently competed with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series last Sunday at Pocono Raceway.
"Jason earned a lot of accomplishments in racing that most people would dream of," Baumgardner said. "Right now our thoughts and prayers go out to his son, family, friends and team."
