Tulsa Oklahoma (June 11, 2013) – This Friday and Saturday nights will see the winged warriors of the Oil Capital Racing Series embark on a doubleheader weekend that will feature two tracks that produced some of the most thrilling and exciting action seen on the OCRS circuit last season. The current point leader for the 2013 OCRS championship crown is the “Lindsay Flash”, Miss Harli White from Lindsay Oklahoma. Miss White is coming off a very strong third place finish last weekend where Flyin’ Brian McClelland won his first OCRS feature in 2013 and sits in the second spot in the point standings, just 64 points behind White (582-518). Here’s a look ahead to the doubleheader weekend………..
Friday Night – “Monett Speedway
Just a couple of hours from home base, Monett Speedway promoters Randy and Linda Mooneyham have invited OCRS back after a successful debut by the popular sprint car series last year. OCRS was more than willing to accept as Monett Speedway has a long tradition of providing excellent racing action over the years and the debut of the OCRS series to Monett Speedway last summer kept that reputation in tact as Moore Oklahoma’s Whit “Gasman” Gastineau won the 25-lap sprint car feature event with an exciting last-lap pass of Sapulpa Oklahoma’s Danny Smith. It was a race that gave those in attendance everything they paid to see and then some. Expect more of the same when the sprint cars hit the red clay oval bullring.

Saturday Night – “Tri-State Speedway”
Tri-State Speedway is just under a couple of hours from home base and takes the second leg of the weekend doubleheader and if this years sprint car event is anything like last years race tabbed the “Thriller In Pocola”, then ESPN, Fox Sports and the Speed Channel should start coming. Jamie Passmore and Whit Gastineau put on a sprint car clinic for the ages with their constant side by side, lap after lap battle. Fans were buzzing about that race for weeks on end! Promoter’s Tim and Connie Adams have once again opened their arms to the OCRS series and an exciting and thrilling night is just what is in store for race fans of all ages. If you like your Saturday nights wicked wild, thrilling and ultra fast, then you need to be at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola!
