Mechanicsburg - Williams Grove Speedway will again present another lucrative event for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints as the next Yellow Breeches 500 race is staged this Friday night, May 6 at 8 pm.
Competition will also include the second race of the season for the HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprints.
General admission gates open at 6 pm.
Adult general admission for the show is $14 with youth ages 13-20 admitted for $10. Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for free at Williams Grove Speedway.
The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 ticket sales this week will be donated to the Central Pa Blood Bank.
From 5-9 on Friday night, a blood drive will be held adjacent to the frontstretch admission gates to also benefit the blood bank.
Blood donors will receive a $10 gift certificate to the speedway plus a complimentary coupon for Papa Johns Pizza.
The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints will race in a handicapped feature event paying $3,600 for the victory but also paying a hefty $500 to start as a race in the Breeches 500 series.
Pat Cannon kicked off the Yellow Breeches 500 series with his first victory on the season on April 1.
The oval will tune up for the first invasion of the season by the World of Outlaws sprint cars on May 13 with a specially formatted program to ready the locals for the following week's two-day outlaws stand.
The May 13 World of Outlaws tune up race will be the second in the season-long Diamond Series for the 410 sprints.
And then the 2016 World of Outlaws tour will storm into the historic oval on May 20 and 21 for a two-day stand.
