Mechanicsburg - The second race of the 2016 Yellow Breeches 500 Series for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints is on tap this Friday night, April 15 at Williams Grove Speedway.
The night will also include the first appearance of the season at the track by the popular IMCA/PASS 305 sprints.
Racing begins at 8 pm with general admission gates opening at 6.
Adult general admission for the show is $14 with youth ages 13-20 admitted for $10. Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for free at Williams Grove.
The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 ticket sales this week will be donated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lancaster County.
The track will play host to numerous brothers and sisters matches from across the Harrisburg region for the program.
The Yellow Breeches 500 race will be a normally handicapped feature event going 25 laps in distance however it will pay the posted $500 just to start as part of the Breeches Series.
Pat Cannon won the first race in the Breeches Series on April 1.
Young Freddie Rahmer of Salfordville has put himself atop the very early season Williams Grove 410 sprint point standings to date, chased by Danny Dietrich and Doug Esh.
Williams Grove will present the Tommy Hinnershitz Memorial for 410 sprints along with street stock racing on April 22.
The sprint car drivers will compete in a 30-lap main event paying $6,000 to win out of a total purse of nearly $30,000 for the Hinnershitz Memorial.
The Tommy Hinnershitz Memorial will be the first race in the 2016 Hoosier Diamond Series.
