Points earned throughout the first two days of the three-day event will set the starting grids for Saturday's qualifying heat races.
Throughout history, no other driver has ever won the Williams Grove National Open as many times as outlaws warrior Donny Schatz who put himself on top of the event win list by claiming his fifth Nationals in 2012.
Schatz will enter the Williams Grove Champion Racing Oil National Open weekend yet again this season as the hottest driver on the outlaws tour to date, leading the point standings while also having accrued the most wins of any circuit driver this season.
Schatz's massive season win total stands at 30 to date. He is the first driver to win 30 features in a single World of Outlaws season since Steve Kinser achieved the feat in 1992 - Kinser ended that season with 31 wins. Kinser also did it in 1987 (46 wins) and 1991 (36 wins).
Rain cancelled last year's National Open preliminary night before Outlaws driver David Gravel scored a controversial, upset win in the Saturday Open after contact with leading local favorite Stevie Smith.
Fireworks displays will be a part of all three 2015 National Open events.
The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 drawings at each program will be distributed to Kiwanis of Dillsburg, the Williams Grove Steam Engine Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
