Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Night News

This weekend the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Night Series is in action with their fourth event of the 16-race campaign. The show will feature the Blazer's Body Shop Super Sportsman, Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models and Aquafun Pools Street Stocks.

Last Saturday veteran driver Rich Eichelberger captured his first 2015 Blazer's Body Shop Super Sportsman victory. Eichelberger, from York Springs, led every lap on the way to his 10th career Saturday Night Series win. He is in fourth place on the all-time leading Saturday Night Series Super Sportsman win list.

Gene Knaub, following a five-lap duel with Bernie Beard, triumphed in last week's Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Model main. This is his first Saturday Night Series 2015 win. Knaub, from Dover, is the all-time leading winner in the 358 Late Models with 44 victories through the past eight years.

Greg Diehl barely avoided a massive crash in the Aquafun Pools Street Stock feature on the way to his first 2015 victory. Diehl, from New Cumberland, dominated the last half of the race; his win the 10th in Saturday Night Series competition. Diehl is fourth on the all-time leading Saturday Night Series Street Stock winner's list.

Frankie Herr leads the Super Sportsman points. Wes Alleman and Billy Wampler are tied for the 358 Late Model point lead. Jeff Haag, the winner of two features, leads the Street Stock point standings.

Qualifying action this Saturday begins at 7 PM. Adult admission remains at six dollars with children 12 and under free.
